Q: Why are ethics an issue in this field?

A: Ultimately, many of our services boil down to trusting someone else with your face, your health, and your money. We understand that and strive to always make decisions that are going to develop our relationship with you over the long haul. For instance, we know people sell Botox below cost, but then find a way to short the product or add hidden fees. We don’t do that. You can buy as much or a little as is appropriate for one reasonable fee. Another example: we stopped selling packages that take a long time to complete when the economy started suffering. Instead we do only shorter combos and we lowered the price of single treatments to reflect a package price. Unfortunately, our industry is becoming known for selling gift certificates and packaging knowing that they won’t be around to honor them. We think that is truly awful! You never have to worry about getting a service done at our business or buying a gift certificate. With low overhead, no debt, and loyal clienteles for over a decade, we feel poised to weather whatever the economy brings. Beware of specials that are too good to be true. Especially, these days, they are probably signs of desperation and they probably are too good to be true. We welcome you researching our reputations in the community.

Q: What is the best form of hair removal?

A: All forms of hair removal have their place. As veterans in this industry, we have experienced with our clients the pro’s and con’s of each method.

Waxing is instant, safe, and thorough. It can thin hair growth over time.

Electrolysis, in the hands of an experience professional, can kill hair permanently and safely. It is the only method deemed “permanent” by the FDA and is the only method that can kill blonde and gray hairs. Because we go into each single follicle, electrolysis is best on small areas like underarms, upper lips, and chins.

People either seem to absolutely love or hate laser hair removal. On some people it works great and the hair stays away. It is best used on people with light skin and dark hair (no matter what anyone says!). That said, we have seen people with light skin and dark hair who have done at least 10 laser treatments and the hair all came back. In very rare cases, laser can stimulate hair growth.

In most cases, a combination of hair removal methods works best.

Q: What is an Ultrasonic Skin Scrubber treatment?

A: It is a very non-toxic purging of the skin using distilled water and a rapidly vibrating skin scrubber. Think high pressure hose in miniature. If used correctly the ultrasonic wand scrubs dead skin cells, oils, makeup, and other debris in the pores. People with larger pores that tend to clog especially love this treatment. Gentle but dramatic results.
